Previously Unsuspected Sahara Desert Giant Crocodile Filled Yg Can Walking with two legs

From new fossil unearthed in the Sahara Desert, Africa, revealed that the location was formerly a swamp where live about half a dozen species of crocodiles are not uncommon, perhaps even intelligent. Reported a number of researchers, not long ago, after studying the jaw, teeth and some bones crocodile.
As reported by Reuters, researchers have provided some new names which is quite strange for those crocodiles. Among BoarCroc, RatCroc, DogCroc, DuckCroc and PancakeCroc. However, they said the findings help build an understanding of how species of crocodile that form and maintain life.

they live in the Cretaceous period, 145 to 65 million years ago. when it is, the continents that exist in this world is still close distance. besides, the earth is still warmer and wetter than today.

A paleontologist from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Hans Larsson said, "Each alligator that has a different diet and behavior. Apparently they had divided up the ecosystem, each species adapting to the ecosystem in its own way. "

According to him, and DuckCroc DogCroc species representing the previous species, Anatosuchus minor, have brains that look different from modern crocodiles. They may have brains that function a bit more sophisticated because of active hunting on land. Because by doing so, usually crocodiles need more brain power than just waiting for prey to appear.
RatCroc is officially named the new species Araripesuchus rattoides. This species is found in Morocco, Africa, who uses his lower jaw to chew food. Then there PancakeCroc also known by the scientific name Laganosuchus thaumastos. This crocodile has a body as long as 20 feet and the head flat. BoarCroc also has a length of 20 feet. But the crocodile which one is more vicious because it has three pairs of tooth-shaped knife, ran straight, and has a jaw that is designed for butting.
Some of the crocodile to walk upright with the legs under his body like a normal mammal. Unlike the crocodile in general when walking legs are next to the body with the abdomen touching the ground position.

"The nature of their amphibians in the past may be key to the understanding of how they grow, survive even in the era of dinosaurs," writes another paleontologist from the University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois, United States, Paul Sereno, in a separate article for National Geographic.
