In the "Registry Editor", try to find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Control / SessionManager / Memory Management / PrefetchParameters, and then change the value of 3 to 1, so it takes less time for skaters to work.

It takes aa lot of time to shut down your Windows XP ,but if you follow the steps to change your registry ,it is faster to shut down your system .
Also in the "Registry Editor, find HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Control Panel / Desktop. In the right pane, locate "WaitToKillAppTimeout" and change the value to 1000, which means that you only need one second to close the program.
and, when encountering "program error" and shut down some hard-applications stop responding automatically, you can wear them in HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Control Panel / Desktop in the "Registry Editor".

A. You can change the "HungAppTimeout" at 200 which means you have to wait half a second when the system appears "program error"....
