Most recently, Keith Olbermann, on his MSNBC News show, Countdown with Keith Olbermann , according to Fox News as "the worst person in the world." He claimed that the Fox News Channel is a blatant right-wing propaganda. He also said that President Obama, in a recent TV interview (the same interview, by the way, as now infamous fly-swatting incident, in which, according to news reports on MSNBC, NBC, CBS, CNN and elsewhere, the president shows his "an extraordinary fly-swatting skills"), argues that at least one news channel dedicated to undermining his administration at any cost. Olbermann suggested that the president was referring to Fox News.
Back in the day when the Republicans controlled both houses and the Presidency, a period that could well go down in history as the modern Dark Ages or terror , Fox News channel is considered to be the bastion of reliable news. So much so that all the other news agencies are too afraid even to question their authority.
Fox News, owned by Australian media magnate Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., began on the assumption that conventional news sources like CNN and network news operates on the principle of subtle left-wing cultural bias stemming from the educational and social milieu of their novinara.Rješenje Fox News, which apparently proposed to dedicate the news channel for allegedly "fair and balanced" news coverage. "Fair and balanced" became their password, but it soon proved to be ironic. Over time, its supposedly objective news coverage has been exposed as a right-wing propaganda that was pretty blatant pandering to the Bush administration while they were in power.
This brings us to the MSNBC news lineup. MSNBC is a news channel that is produced as a joint venture, as the name suggests, between Microsoft (monolithic software giant founded by Bill Gates) and NBC. Their band news shows apparently offers us an alternative to Fox News, but, as is implied by Keith Olbermann, what they really offer us a left -wing propaganda that panders to Obama administration.
the tragic consequences of all this government is pandering and institutional propaganda that is the number one casualty in the mainstream news credibility. Where are the Woodwards and Bernsteins today, with its startling revelations of corruption in high places? Definitely I or Fox News or MSNBC.
Perhaps the answer is where we find a credible news source is from CNN - it is still mild and the presentation of the facade of objectivity, while concealing a subtle left bias - which is now, apparently, a village on blogs, Twitter feeds, and Facebook posts to supplement their site in the reports of correspondents. CNN even encourages you to submit amateur video across the "iReport" on its website, which allows them to have a video on the news shows after the process of checking and verification. In fact, during the Iranian revolution, where the main journalists were banned and handed over by the authoritarian Iranian regime, Western news sources have to rely on Twitter feeds, blogs and amateur video of Iranian citizens as news sources.
This brings us to the argument that mainstream news organizations have recently been making from Blogsphere, particularly in light of such recent films as State Play
a reality - at least two of the so-called major news organizations are dedicated to the production of partisan propaganda that is quite shamelessly panders to politicians, and the third all Blogsphere resorting to provide their news sources. As far as Woodward and Bernstein, they are both retired and writes books for a living.
The moral of the story as it seems, therefore, that if you are looking for cutting-edge journalism, skip the news networks, and, instead, check out the Blogsphere!
